Hello everyone,
maybe a dumb question, always had tubeless rims on bikes.

can I (is anyone) running tubes in Shinko 705 radial tubeless tires?

have set of Shinko 705 radials on hand and want to go more highway than dirt.

thanks,
Dale

A tube must be used inside a tubeless tire if the tubeless tire is mounted on a tube type rim. I have used a tube inside a tubeless tire mounted on a tubeless type rim after picking up a small nail or screw on multiple occasions. The tires were almost new and the dealer would not patch the tire. Both the tire and the tube were produced by Metzler. If you are pushing a bike to its limits on a racetrack every time you ride it is probably a good idea to replace the tire and skip the tube. If you are not on the track and ride appropriately on the street, a tube inside the tire should not be an issue.
