What cable are y'all using to connect an android phone to android auto? I'm having trouble finding one that fits underneath the USB cover.

I don't have Android Auto on my bike, but I have been happy with JSAUX cables for keeping my phone charged while riding. The connector is not overly large, the quality of the cable is very good. I have no issue in fitting them to any case I have used, but of course, I cannot speak first about the USB cover on your bike. Anker is also another reliable brand, particularly their double braided cables.

If the issue is with it sticking out too far (unfortunately I am not familiar with the cover or the issue) perhaps a 90-degree USB-C cable such as Ugreen 90 degree cable would work better.

Hah. I will move it, it will probably get a better response in the proper forum.

I thought about the CableCreation cords since they have such as short connector, but I had hoped that it came in a longer length. Unfortunately 0.4ft (5") is it. They have their uses, such as connecting a smartphone and external battery, but not much else.

Anker is the one that worked for me where others including the OEM ones and UGreen didn't.
It is a bit longer however and I needed to cut a longer slit in the bottom of the cover to allow the cover to be put on.

The problem with the usb socket on our motorcycles is that although the usb does not have a large head, the rubber does not finish closing without forcing the cable. As any 90 degree cable is placed vertically, it no longer enters. I consider that if the socket were horizontal, it would be much easier to twist the cable without it being squeezed, shortening its life of use.

That's what I'm using now and had to trim off allot of plastic so the cover would close.

A buddy makes cables, he made one that fits great but only for charging. He's having trouble finding a usb 3 end to make us all cables that work and seal flawlessly. If he ends up producing the right cable, ya'll will be the first to know, after me of course.
