Hi all,

Just an Idea for wireless Carplay/Android.
I bougth a wireless dongle on one "famous" cheap online stores for 30eur.
It was couple of milimeters bigger than cable opening so with a small help managed to make it smaller.
Now it is inside the rubber cover. No cables, no removal for washing.
And it works....

The USB connector was originaly soldered to PCB. Removed it and extend it with small wire so dongle can be moved around housing to snug it better. Also aded a small nylon thread for removing it easily. Nothing adapted on AT.

I have not seen the previous post you shared, similar idea, great job!

I've been using a Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto Car Adapter for a couple years now. Works well and is very small. Only caveat is very now and then microwaves cause it to lose connection for a few minutes. Works well for both Android and iPhone. Makes me wonder what those waves are doing to our bodies?

That's a bit excessive - in my case of constant Apple Maps and Apple music usage I'd be losing no more than 9-10% an hour on an 15 pro. I'd suggest taking a look in battery settings what's causing the drain - if not for the battery life, then for it's health. I noticed that Google Maps drain significantly more than Apple Maps, thus I switched.

Is it possible to get your contact? I need the same thing but I don't have anyone who can work with PCB and small wires

Good morning, today I received a USB to make the wireless AA. It turns out that I connect bt and wifi to usb from my mobile, but I can't see the AA on the AT screen. The cell phone says that it is connected to the AA, but it says not available on the AT. Am I making a wrong move?
I have even disconnected the BT from the motorcycle, in case my phone was not capable of working with two BTs and nothing. I will have to continue using the cable.

Hi,
Try to unpair/forget everything - BT headset, phone, disconnect wireless dongle.

Then go step by step:
Bike to headset through BT
Wireless dongle to bike, just connect
Phone to wireless dongle through BT

Should work this way. Had the same issues when switched from wired to wireless. The bike kept saying connected/disconnected in a loop. Then I have realized it was trying to connect to phone BT, phone losing connection to dongle...

The above steps worked for me

I'd say it's now more typical to go wireless, especially in cars. I don't know if the same applies for bikes. In general Japanese are a bit slow with all new, electronics engineering is tad on the conservative side. Of course once proven, they go for perfection. Doesn't mean it always works out that way

I just installed a Siltcon dongle and it works great...........until I toggle from carplay to the normal screen. After doing that I can't toggle back again to the carplay screen. No idea why, with the cabled solution it all works fine, including switching form carplay to normal screen and vice versa. Can anyone help me on this one?

That happens every so often with all 3 dongles I have used. I use Android Auto and to get back I can push forward and hold the talk/page button, that opens Android Auto and also Google assistant, I can either ignore assistant or ask a question but Android Auto stays open regardless.

I can't figure out why Carplay starts up without any problems, but refuses to appear back on the screen once I switched to the normal Honda screen. I use an Iphone, by the way, but that can't be the problem because the cabled solution works fine.

It is a dongle issue, some do it more than others but, for me at least, there is no rhyme or reason as to when it will happen, some days it doesn't happen, others it does.
Stopping and switching off the ignition and then switching back on again always cures it but then it may happen again later on or it may be fine the rest of the day.

I think they all can do it although saying that my Chinese cheap one seems better than the AA Wireless and Carsifi ones I had.

Can you get it back showing by the method I mentioned above?
