Thanks for the reply. Too bad it's the dongle, I'll have to start looking for another type without this problem.
I think they all can do it although saying that my Chinese cheap one seems better than the AA Wireless and Carsifi ones I had.

Can you get it back showing by the method I mentioned above?

Hi all,

Just an Idea for wireless Carplay/Android.
I bougth a wireless dongle on one "famous" cheap online stores for 30eur.
It was couple of milimeters bigger than cable opening so with a small help managed to make it smaller.
Now it is inside the rubber cover. No cables, no removal for washing.
And it works....

The big problem on long trips is keeping the iPhone's battery alive. Working with GPS, music and telephone, in 6 hours I would have to charge the phone's battery. Unfortunately, we ended up going back to the voltage and data cable
I did something similar. The nice thing about a cable was power supply, cause GPS/maps/android auto uses a TON of juice. I just installed a dual USB C/A port on the left side, replacing the accessory socket. I thought about selling kits, but idk how reliable it'd be if people tried plugging in something that shouldn't be or had a really high draw, or if it would just blow fuses or something. Anyways, I just made essentially a direct replacement for the factory accessory socket which has an OEM connector on the end and just plugs right in and installs just like the OEM accessory socket, with a waterproof lid and all, except its got a USB A port and also brings the bike into modern day standards because it has a C port as well. It was annoying just having the single A port because I didnt own any cables I could even use to plug in to a type A port. I was gonna just go dual C ports, but I figured if I had a dongle permanently attached to the A port, it might be better to add another A port as well as a C port just to have the options. After all, I dont think I really needed 2 C ports, as I dont think the bike/fuse could even support 2 high wattage C type devices at once anyways.
