I am considering exchanging my red AT1100 in red in the near future!

The question is…I’ve had 3 red models now and was going to go for the red again but…I love the look of the Matt black too and it would be nice to change, but I am so worried that the Matt black will suffer as a daily commute in all weathers?
So if you have one how’s it standing up and would you buy another?
Any help or info would be great, thanks

Mine has done well for 5years in all-year-round British weather (Northern England so none of that mamby pamby Southern sunshine either 😆).

Matt Black for the win - rumors are they are faster so I have been told!

Sorry to say those rumors don't hold up.
Matte Black by it's nature isn't slippery like a beautifully clear coated metallic gloss black and actually has measurable wind resistance. I could make up a bunch of BS go into all of the physics involved but I have no idea you wouldn't understand.
:p

Had 2 matte black ones, a 2021 AT DCT and a 2022 ATAS DCT.
My first one I had for 9 months and was used every weekend including salt laden winter roads and no issues. My second one is now about 15 months and again used every weekend including salt covered winter roads and again standing up well.
As @DoubleThumper says they are very low maintenance and when you do clean them they don't need much other than water and soap, no messing around with wax and polish.

They don't do the ATAS in matte black any more but the matte grey looks ok and likely will stand up as well, the AT however still comes in matte black.

Hi, They are made by HAAN and have their tubeless conversion done - cost delivered via a UK distributor to me in the UK for £1550.

hey,
i also got the Matt black 2020 version of the AT. Since march this year ive got red crashbars on them ( the same red tint as there are already on the bike)
i love the visual of the bike at the moment and gotten loads of positive comments about it
( pictures is the first setup , the upper crashbars where delayed , no picture of the full install yet)

Aren't most modern day combat fighter jets Matt finished?

Well heck, let's include jet bombers too, albeit a wee bit slower, but packs a ton of explosive capacity.

= = =

Conversely, comfy, reclined and subdued passenger jets are finished in gloss, typically in a vast and variant array of red, blue and white colours. They also have a large capacity to carry a lot of fat.
