Hello FunnyDavids, I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your bike. Luckily, I happened across this YouTube video - click this link:DCT shift cotrol motor cleaning (NC700) - ratio assy, motor assy, ratio control which saved me. My problem ended up being the RCM(Ratio Control Motor). As you're seated on the Africa Twin, it would be located below your left knee, around the middle of your shin. It's cylinder shaped, with a black cover on it. Basically, what I did was remove the protective 'half cover' for the RCM(two bolts), then the RCM itself( 3 bolts) remove the magnetic generator inside and use Deoxit electrical cleaner to clean out the little magnetic generator and cover. Then I reinstalled it. Total time took about 40 minutes. I drove it immediately afterwards for about 2 hours in 105 degree heat without any issues and haven't had any issues since. I hope it works for you as it did for me.
Thanks for the quick response JohnnyUtah. Sadly I just replaced my RCM for a brand new one and the problem still persists.
