Stand installed

Image

It's actually the longer type for 21 inch wheel non ATAS version and it's visible, it doesn't have the back foot on the floor, even without standing on the wheeled stand

Update
Tutoro arrived via DHL Express today, took 3 days including customs.
Have to comment on the price, Tutoro sold it without VAT (export from UK), paid 80ish pounds plus 30 something shipping, which resulted in around 136 Eur.
Import tax and duty another 48 Eur, Slovak customs (probably all EU) calculates the duty and tax from the total sum on the invoice.. Crazy!! 😲
Anyway, good UK quality product!
Already installed, pics below and time will tell if this was a good idea 😉
Took the frame cover off to get a loop

Installed an AliExpress phone mount and holder, surprisingly sturdy!

Aaaaaand new foot pegs. Chinese CNC Aluminium but fit is not perfect, only one of the two legs which limit the horizontal position is in contact with the frame.
I'll see if they stay.
The colour is bling! :LOL:The plan was to match the front fork and right lever, a bit too much but not bad overall!

Alu top box - check, 45 liter size seems ok for the bike..
View attachment 92750
I am not a fan of top boxes but I have been looking at the 45l ones like you have above but in black, I have decided, however, that I am going to make a smaller one up and see how that looks. It will only be 80mm high and I will still have my rack plate mounted to the top of it. If it looks crap then Aliexpress awaits :D

Nice design, what material will you use Hood?
And btw, What's your packing arrangement for single day/ multi day trips? I had all the bikes with top box and pillion seat bag for longer trips just to have more side clearance off road and in traffic. And use rear panniers as crash bars.

It will be aluminium, simply because that is what I work with mostly and I should have enough off cuts lying around to make it. It would ideally be made of 3mm thickness but all the offcuts I have will be 5mm or greater so 5mm it will be :D

I have not done any multi day trips, health conditions mean they are not practical for the most part. For single day I usually just have the US20 Kriega strapped to the rear rack but I it is kind of packed so I would like a small box for tyre repair kit, pump, booster style starter battery and some tools so that the Kriega is free for anything else I wish to carry.

I have the oem plastic panniers that I occasionally use when going to collect items such as welding consumables but 99% of the time I do not have them fitted. I went with the oem plastic panniers as they do not require a rack and thus the bike looks standard when they are not fitted.

Yeah got it mate, good setup.
For me, single day is usually just a bank card and small items in the top box. Before there were spare tyres, now a tyre repair set, Xiaomi accu compressor, rain gear).
The small Alu box will be massively strong from a 5 mm! I guess the standard boxes are 1.5mm! 😲 But own design is always best and if you got the resources even better 😉
Sorry about the health, Africa is made for long distance! I swear I could feel the old XRV gaining more power the more days I was on the road, but it was Placebo definitely 😁

Update: received LED fog lights, TPMS and dash cams.
The plan is to connect TPMS, dash cams and phone charger to the wiring below the 12V accessory socket. I think there was a change in the fuse load rating and it's now more than the original 2A. Can somebody confirm?
Fog lights will be next, they'll go into original wiring and will be controlled by the Fn buttons for now. I'll think about Hex EZcan later.

The North American spec bikes have a 3amp fuse inline to the Aux socket. I have never been able to find it on my bike and as far as I am aware no others have found it unless it is a North American spec AT. So unless things have changed on the 2024 on models the aux socket shares a 10Amp fuse with the cornering lights in most regions.

Seems to be the case from what I have read, thanks. Wasn't sure about the Amp rating. If it's a 10A it should be sufficient for these 3 accessories

The 10 amp is shared with the cornering lights, how much they draw I am unsure but unlikely to be a huge amount.

I wonder if us USA bikes can bypass the 3A fuse and connect it direct.
Next time I have the fairings off, I will measure the wire AWG of the accessory point, to see if there is the reduction of Amps capacity.

If we assume both US and rest of the world models use the same wiring, they will be capable of 10Amp+ with a healthy buffer. They logically should be the same, as more variants are more expensive to produce than using one higher capacity wire type.

It would make sense but then there are differences, the 3 amp fuses being one example. They must be using a slightly different loom to have them there, whether just inserted or wiring differences as well I don't know.
Other differences are lights, North American bikes don't have the same control over DRL as we have so there is different wiring, also they have different BCU as they can not have the aux lights, so likely more differences than one may think.

Would a wiring diagram not give you the answers?
