So the answer to the question was that yes they do make the racks for Honda.

But the kicker seems to be that , and I am reading between the lines here, but that they are not allowed, presumably on the express instructions from Honda, that they are not compatible with the items that they manufacture on behalf of Honda.

How weird is that?

Im assuming it’s a commercial decision by Honda to try and force buyers to only buy the Genuine Honda supplied items.
Nigelpugh7, I did also contact the Givi US customer service. They were very prompt and ask me to provide a picture of the oem rack. I sent them the one you posted on the thread. I'll follow up with their response. I'm also curious to find out if the oem racks can be used for other that the oem panniers. Through this wonderful family I found out that the mosko soft panniers can be adapted to the oem racks, and now we're almost there to confirm if Givi (I mentioned the Trekker panniers only) will be compatible with the oem racks. That would be great for the whole community to know.

That’s great that they have asked for the details of the racks, let’s hope they come back with a positive response for you.

To be honest I am only looking at what options I have, if my bike had not come with the OEM Honda racks already fitted I would probably already have the SW MOTEC soft bags and racks fitted to my bike already.

I’m not even sure if any type of hard luggage is what I want or need.

Oh and I missed your point about the fact that you have found out that the OEM racks work with Mosko soft luggage, I would be very interested in the details of that, can you share it please?
